Most cities in Belgium have only one (main) station. If you arrive on an international train, you can transfer to a local train at the same station. In some countries, there are train stations for international trains and then separate train stations for local trains. It’s often difficult to figure out how to get to the other station. In Belgium, you won’t have this problem.

The coverage is quite high as well. You can get almost anywhere in Belgium with the train.
4. Short travel times
Belgium is small, so travel times are quite short as well. The travel time from one city to another is around 45 minutes. If you want to go from Bruges to Arlon (the longest possible distance), the travel time is 4 hours and 14 minutes. By car, it’s 3 hours when there is not a lot of traffic.
5. Stations are close to the city center
In most cities, the station is close to the medieval city center. Only in Ghent and Liege, you will need to take a bus or tram to go to the city center. There are also a lot of stations that are close to nature.
