Public transport
Belgium has a good public transportation network. You won’t need a car to make short trips, even in a more rural area. When the group can’t agree on what to do, you can easily split up, and then some of you can use public transport.
When you take the train, you can also get more advantageous tickets when you buy them per 10 rides (one return ticket = 2 rides, so for 4 people it would be 4 x 2 rides).
Eating out
If you want to eat out and you’re with a large group, you will need to make reservations. Especially from Thursday to Sunday, it’s recommended that you book in advance.
Restaurants often ask large groups to limit the number of different types of dishes. For example, they will say that you can pick only 3 different main courses. It’s just the way it is in Belgium.
Going out
Most Belgians go out on Friday or Saturday. If you’re planning a bachelor(-ette) party make sure that it includes a Friday or Saturday. Unless you want to be the only ones in the karaoke bar.
Booking your stay
If you want to stay in a nice place with a large group, you will need to book this far in advance.
